You Are Wrong On YB Wong, Toyo!

This is what Toyo the Opposition Leader of the Selangor State Assembly says,

“This is about morality, whether the pictures were taken with or without consent is another matter, I cannot accept a lawmaker whose morality is questionable,” Khir told the Malaysian Insider today.

My comment : Toyo seriously don't understand the meaning about questionable moral conduct. It was reported that the pictures were taken while she was asleep. There were no intention whatsoever on the part of the state assemblywoman to intentionally pose nude or perform any act that grossly injure her reputation as an assemblywoman. So Toyo should look at the bigger picture instead of damaging her reputation even more.

In my mind, she has not commit any act except being a victim herself.

In fact I think Toyo should answer some unresolved issues while he was Menteri Besar. And I believe the public cannot accept a lawmaker whose morality is questionable like corruption and abuse of power.

PI Disappeared...

Now Mr Bala aka the PI disappeared. So is it really, that threats of one's life do exists? What about the notion of beautiful and harmonious Malaysia where threats of one's life is not our culture said our DPM and PM recently. Why Mr PI disappeared suddenly?

The first Statutory Declaration as according to his former lawyer, Mr Americk Sidhu was made when he is in his right frame of mind. As stated in one news report that he believed the private eye had been coerced “by either threats or promises as I can think of no other reason” and that it was voluntarily made without duress and it was written over a a period of one and a half months in several meetings with Balasubramaniam, each lasting hours...as according to Mr Americk Sidhu.

Then come the second SD which not only shocked Americk Sidhu but I believe a right minded Malaysian that within 24 hours his client had engaged the services of another lawyer and made another statutory declaration, swearing that the first one was untrue and that he had been forced to sign it.

Mr Sidhu also said as reported in the news report, “As I am familiar with Mr Bala's character, having spent hours recording his statement, I am very sceptical that he signed the second statutory declaration on his own free will."

So can one perceived that the second SD is tainted with some form of illegality and undue influence by some irresponsible third party.

A statutory declaration is evidence given under oath which cannot be retracted. It is liken to facts stated in court under oath and if that declaration is found to be false then the person making the said declaration can be charged in court for perjury. Just saying that the first SD declared was under duress is not enough. There must be compelling evidence to suggest that there is some form of duress and undue influence.

The new SD withdrew all statements that Balasubramaniam had revealed during a press conference organised by PKR de facto leader DSAI on Thursday and this included the fact that he had informed police what political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda had purportedly told him prior to Altantuya’s murder.

So where do we go from here? Or rather where is Mr Bala now.....

PI Bala’s nephew lodges missing person’s report (Reported in the Star)

KUALA LUMPUR: R. Kumaresan, nephew of private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, lodged a police report in Brickfields here on Saturday over the disappearance of his uncle, aunt and their three children.

Kumaresan said it was unusual for calls to his uncle to go unanswered. He added that Balasubramaniam and his family had been in communicado after the private investigator made a new statutory declaration, retracting his original statutory declaration on Friday.

In the first statutory declaration, Balasubramaniam had claimed that police omitted vital information, allegedly linking Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case.

On Friday, Balasubramaniam revealed in a second statutory declaration that he was “compelled to affirm the (first) statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008 under duress”.

Lingamgate No. 2

After the VK Lingam's videotape episode, there came another shocking revelation (I am not shocked though, as I have expected) : A confession (disclosure) of a Judge on the interference of the Executive in the Judiciary.

YA Ian Chin disclosure put shock waves across the east and west of Malaysia and I believed also beyond the shores of Malaysia. Boot camp for selected judges for brainwashing session? I think this is an act of betrayal of trust by the former Prime Minister. This is an acceptable.

I echoed the opinion by my President, Miss Ambiga Sreenevasan, that this event must be investigated. She also noted the case of Harris Mohd Salleh -v- The Returning Officer, Ismail Majin & Ors (2001) 3 CLJ 161, the dicta by YA Mohammad Kamil (former High Court judge) which corroborates YA Ian Chin's disclosure where his Lordship stated, “The only guide to a man is his conscience, the only shield to his memory is the rectitude and the sincerity of his action... In my view, it is an insult to one’s intelligence to be given a directive over the phone that these petitions should be struck off without a hearing, and above all, it is with prescience conscience that I heard these petitions.’’

This is definitely a brave act of a judge and with judges like that, Malaysians applaud and respect as the dignity of the judiciary is restored and corrected. Syabas to YA Mohammad Kamil and YA Ian Chin.

He tells ALL for his safety

It was reported in Malaysiakini today that the son of Businessman Loh Mui Fah was the one that recorded the video involving allegation of VK Lingam conversation with former CJ Tun Fairuz.

It was reported also that he was worried with his safety as such he went public trusting only Malaysiakini and not ot the other mainstream newspapers. This goes to show that the public confidence on our newspapers is down zero confidence. Worst still the moment he reported to he authorities, he was threaten his life.

In my mind, can I have faith in the police or the ACA now. What if I have certain information against some people in high places, where do I go from there? The feeling is the same like Mr. Loh. AND THAT is FEAR. Fear for my life and the life of my family. My mental state will be much affected with unknown calls threatening my life, police and ACA intercepted every move I made and every conversation I spoke. My privacy and my life are changed not for the better but for the worst.

Well that is in short the life story of the BUSINESSMAN.

Tee Keat to Chua: Expose the culprits

©The Sun (Used by permission) KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 4, 2008): MCA vice-president Datuk Ong Tee Keat today urged former Health Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek to expose the culprits who used "dirty tactics" to bring about his political downfall. "Chua should be able to shed more light on the perpetrators who resorted to video-taping him in a compromising position with a woman. The culprits responsible should be punished," he added. "I read from the papers allegations made by Chua about his political enemies, but there are no further details. I believe the public, including myself would like to know who were the people responsible for using such dirty tactics. "It's unfair for us to make wild guesses based on what he (Chua) said. So I welcome it if he is willing to reveal who is/are behind all this. I like to know more details about this case," he told reporters after meeting with his Taman Muda constituents here today. He was asked to comment on Chua's interview with the press in Putrajaya yesterday in which the former MCA vice-president claimed that his downfall was due to political rivalry. Chua resigned as Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Labis as well as all party posts on Wednesday (Jan 2), a day after admitting that he was the senior politician featured in the sex video that was widely circulating in Johor. "If Chua can reveal more details, it can help to stop any kind of negative political culture in the country. Let's make this a lesson for everyone. We need to address it before it develops into some kind of unhealthy political culture. "Anything that's not right must be weeded out," said Ong.

©The Star Online (Used by permission) KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVD circulating in Johor. In a press conference here Tuesday, Dr Chua said the girl is his “personal friend”. He apologised to the Malaysian public, supporters and his colleagues. He said he did not make the tape himself. Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVD. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide. The sex DVD had been circulating in Muar, Tangkak and Batu Pahat over the past few days. The existence of the DVD was first reported in the Chinese dailies on Sunday while a Bahasa Malaysia daily reported about it Monday.

Bang Bang Bang Happy 2008

What a bang? I find this amusing though I wanted to know BADLY who is this Menteri in Johor. What can I say.....I'm just a kepo (busybody).

Hmmmm anyway I am more amused with this :

"Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Musa Hassan, berkata polis Johor sudah diarah untuk mengesan individu atau pihak yang bertanggungjawab mengedarkan DVD terbabit di beberapa bandar di negeri itu sejak beberapa hari lalu"

AND further

"Sementara itu, Ketua Polis Johor, Datuk Hussin Ismail, ketika dihubungi berkata siasatan dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 292 Kanun Keseksaan kerana kesalahan mengedar bahan lucah yang jika sabit kesalahan boleh dihukum penjara sehingga tiga tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya sekali"

Maybe I should suggest the police to investigate the contents of the DVD rather than to investigate the distribution of the DVD. The police should not limit themselves to only investigating the crimes of distribution under section 292 of the Penal Code but also to investigate other elements of crime including the act of pornography. There must be a thorough investigation on it more so as it states that it involved a Minister from a political party that is second in command in Barisan Nasional.

There should not be any cover. Either you shame him OR clear him, if he is innocence.

A financial scandal?

I can't help myself but to blog this.... I see a financial scandal soon. Yes I'm blogging about the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) RM4.6 billion 'bailout'. Interestingly the government had approved a loan to the Port Klang Authority and that the details of the loans are being ironed out. I wonder in this situation is this a soft loan or a bailout utilising the rakyat money.

The loan to the Port Klang Authority in my opinion tantamount to a bailout of the highest scandal after BMF. I now doubt our PM pledge during his 2004 general election manifesto to curb corruption and to boost transparency and battle financial mismanagement in mega-projects. Looks like Malaysians all over are fooled by the pious character of Mr Clean.
