Daddy's 8th Anniversary

Today (24th February 2009) is Daddy's 8th Anniversary.

He 'graduated' 8 years ago when I was doing my chambering. We work in the same place until the day he left us. Many good words for my Daddy. People remembered him as the 'gentle' one. Truly, a gentleman. His ways, character, approach, manner of speaking is nothing but gentleness.

Oh how I so miss him.

Now, time really flies. Eight years have passed. And me, a daddy myself with two little cuties, Paul (4 years) and Priscilla (53 days old). Yes, I am so blessed.

Blessed Birtday Daddy Part 2

Today is my dad’s birthday. If he is still around, we will be celebrating his 68^th birthday at his favourite nasi Indian shop, banana curry rice at Jalan Bendahara, Malacca or some nasi kandar at the alley somewhere in Malacca. If you ask me who taught me to eat Indian food, it must be my dad. I was very young when he first brought me to Indian Shop and we eat and eat until our belly went round. But it was satisfying.

Just a little about my dad. He is a gentle and sweet person. Everybody loves him because of his nature. He rarely scolds or raises his temper to his children and I bet readers here that he will be the first to spoilt my son J. Simply put HE IS NICE.

I had the opportunity to work with him in a particular legal firm. He was handling the office account of the firm and I was doing my chambering. We sat on a tank every day to work. My dad loves continental cars. So this tank was a MP6226 Opel Gemini. It was an old tank. We work together four for months before he went to the Lord.

His all time favourite verse in the book of Matthew, “In my Father’s house there are many mansion”. That was the hope he had for heaven in believing in Jesus. He is always a believer of the faith and who trust God on everything. I know at times when we were in dire strait of money, he will just put his trust in the GREAT I AM. He may not have the gift of healing and miracles or a preacher but he has the great gift of faith in his Maker. He is one who loves God and have taught me everything I need to know about the reverent fear of God and respecting the Word of God such as, when you sleep, your leg should not face the Bible or that the Bible should not be on the floor. It has to be treated with a lot of respect, says dad. He may have nothing to give but he left a legacy in me to love and fear my God.

Dad, if you are watching this, blessed 68th birthday. Oh dear, I miss you so much, so very much. Like you I'm now a daddy. Like you I love my son, your grand son. Thank you for loving me and having faith in me. I love you. dad.

Me and Paul when he is like 4 months

I must say he is the love of my life. Paul Elijah Yeo Shean Yeaw that is his name. Long? Just like his Daddy. Born 23.1.2005 he is now two and a half years old. Small size but tall. We have many things in common and we share many things together. We love drinking cold water with an ice which of course is ain't good for him and we enjoy RICE... from chicken rice to nasi lemak to indian rice. Yummy.

Be that as it may, it is always in my prayer and hope, one day, he will be somebody truly better and greater than I.

Haappy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and I'm paying tribute to all FATHERS.

First on my list I would like to pay tribute is my Heavenly Father. I thank Him for loving me and choosing me. He knows me even in the womb. He called me by name with His sweet voice.The great God almighty who Himself is King of kings and Lord of lords. I thank Him for being there when I need Him most. A Teacher of all whose grace and mercy is always new every morning. Rich in love and full of compassion. I don't deserve it, but His love for me is always high above the mountains and deeper the seas. Truly I know that I'm not alone even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for His rod and staff, they comfort me. He will bring me in the stillness of water so that I may drink from Him. I thank Him also for providing the everyday needs in my business and the things I do.

Second, my earthly Father, Simeon Yeo Kok Inn. The man that I love most. Patient and kind is he, truly a remarkable gentleman. A man I can talk to in everything and anything. Born in 1939 August the 17th, he became a teacher at the age of 21. The second child to my grandfather (I've not seen my grand dad), a championed in tennis. I was told that he was the first double champion for the Selangor Royal Golf Club. However this son here can never play the game that he is good of. Fortunate or unfortunate this son of his love hockey and cricket, anyway that is all Malacca High School boys are good at. He pass away suddenly in 2001, 24th February of a heart attack at the age of 61. Well, I thank God that I had the opportunity to work in the same legal firm before he dies. I thak God for every moment that I had with Him. Truly I so miss him dearly.

Third, my Father in Law, whom I now came to know a man of good heart and intention. Nothing behind his sleeves except that of love. A mechanic by profession, he supports the MCA with all of his heart, of which I'm against as I support the Opposition DAP. We clash in political ideas but one in heart as we love the same girl, his eldest daughter and my dear wife Peggy.

And me, a young Father. I pray that I'm able to provide the love to my son, Paul unconditionally. Truly every idiot can be a father but very few who are able to give the best to his family. So Paul and Peggy, I promise you that you have the best of me not only as a support but there will be love and life totally with the both of you. You deserve the best of me.
