Pakatan Rakyat...what say you?

Pakatan Rakyat is not Barisan Alternatif as it is not an alternative government in waiting but have governed in 5 states. Pakatan Rakyat is not Barisan Rakyat. Pakatan would mean a Coalition or a cooperation between DAP-PKR-PAS in realising a common goal and objective in achieving a better Malaysia free from corruption and manipulation from the Barisan Nasional government, justice, equality, freedom and democracy. Each coalition partners will still maintain their own political agenda but I believe in the years to come, each of it, will abandon their political agenda for the sake of multi religious, multi racial and multi cultural Malaysia

The forming of Pakatan Rakyat after the general election is definitely a step forward seeing Party stalwarts like Lim Kit Siang (DAP) and Abdul Hadi Awang (PAS) putting their differences in seeing a better and stronger Malaysia. It cannot be denied that the running of Pakatan Rakyat under the brotherhood of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim though it has already being agreed that no one party would have greater standing, as the three component parties were equal in the alliance, there would be initial teething problem. Be that as it may, it is definitely a political strength to face a greater political challenge in the next general election.

Of course some Barisan Nasional Chief Minister blogger would say, I quote, "Kalau betul-betul mereka sepakat, bentuklah dan daftarlah sebagai satu parti yang menggabungkan ketiga-tiga parti ini. Saya cabar mereka! Kita lihat sama ada mereka boleh bekerja sama atau tidak." I am of the opinion, let us not be hurry. A loose coalition is not a marriage of convenience but I believe when the time comes, and when all teething problems are settled then it is a step of faith for a two party challenge in the coming general election which some say in three years time. By then we will be ready to face all opposition from the Barisan Nasional.

It is the same thing when the Alliance of UMNO-MCA-MIC was formed during the earlier elections. Unfortunate for the Alliance, all are race base party compared to DAP and PKR, whose ideology is for a greater Malaysia and not race based. PAS for a matter of fact talks about "Islam". If Islam is for all (as stated in PAS Manifesto), then Islam should not and will never be seen as a threat to the non Muslim. As such I feel that this Pakatan Rakyat so long as it is for all Malaysians, then Pakatan's journey is just the beginning. A beginning of hope.

I wish to reply to CM blogger again on his so called 'kacamata'. This is what he says, I quote,

"PAKATAN Rakyat yang dibentuk oleh PKR, DAP dan Pas hanyalah satu gimik politik untuk mengaburi mata rakyat kerana mereka cuba meniru konsep BN. Mereka sebenarnya tidak berkeupayaan untuk mentadbir negeri apatah lagi negara. Oleh itu rakyat jangan mudah terpengaruh dengan tipu helah permainan politik mereka"

I was told that in Kelantan, 19 years ago when it was ruled by the Barisan Nasional state government, the state debt was like RM600 million. And after PAS took over, the present state debt is about RM11 million. Now is that an understatement? Siapa sebenarnya berkeupayaan umtuk mentadbir negeri? It means that, the Barisan Nasional state governments are hopeless administrators.

In Malacca, the state debt as at 2006 is RM1.05 BILLION (www.audit.gov.my) this is worrying. We are in a state of bankruptcy and what our state government is doing, spending our money unnecessarily. So is this Islam Hadhari? Is this good administration? I rather vote for a Pakatan Rakyat who cares for the people compare to an administration that swindle our money for the sake of development. Malaysia gave 50 years to Barisan Nasional. Now Malaysians seek for change.

As long as religious issue is not taking control of the pakatan, people feel safe to support. I believe Sdr. LKS and DSAI are fully aware of the workability of the unity of opposition, which is a journey and this is the beginning. So, as long as there is check and balance, no extremism, it will not be a threat to any particular "race" or faiths. It's time Pakatan Rakyat shows the BN fools why rakyats voted for change and tak boleh tahan anymore. Unless AAB still sleeping and does not want to wake-up. The longer AAB is around the better for Pakatan Rakyat to work. Mamak TDM is the snake decoy. Ha Ha Ha.
