My New Toy

I took a blog holiday from blogging political-socio issues as I am busy with my new toy, a new pda hand phone, given to me by my wife for Father's Day. If you notice the picture below, it shows 1.56am. Can't sleep though. Hehe.

So what is it? A HTC TyTN II. Pronounce it as TyTen. This new toy of mine works using Microsoft® Office Mobile applications, including Outlook® Mobile 6, Word Mobile, Excel® Mobile, and PowerPoint® Mobile, PDF Viewer, with task, contacts and calendar. I have used a dopod 818 (not pro) before so it work just fine with me in terms of it's mobile application. You may one to ask me where is my dopod....I have donated to Renaissance (hilang lah).

It is indeed a powerful tool as I have used a Dopod, a Sony Ericsson P990i and a Nokia Communicator. This high technology gadget come with an internet connection via 3.5G HSDPA, which the HTC websites says nine times faster than 3G and that is so true, compare with my former tools.

The Home Application is superb which displays a large digital clock and notification for messages i.e. sms/mms and e-mails as well as miss calls. The Favourite People Application is like your speed dialling but here it gives me a cool display picture of my favourite people. Then you have the Weather application that give you real time weather updates, Launcher Application that gives me short cuts to my other applications or programmes installed in my TyTN II such as my Bible, Voice Recorder, Connectivity, Back Light, Lock, File Explorer, Bluetooth Explorer and so on. And lastly the Sound Application which allows me to vibrate and silence my TyTN II.

The interface, it has start browser which allows me to go into another programme with ease. On the corner left, it will display the battery life, the connectivity (wireless, GPRS, Bluetooth, EDGE) and of course a small button that says my recent documents or programme used. Down below the interface, you have Calendar and Contacts.

Work becomes more comfortable with the unique tilting touch screen and the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This devise also have a Business Card scanner just like my Sony Eriksson though I have yet to try it.

This gadget also provide for GPS navigation with MAPKINGS software for your maps and not forgetting an auto focus 3.0 built in camera to capture wonderful moments

In all, this HTC TyTN II comes together with
(i) getting started disc
(ii) application disc, which includes MapKing (for GPS), GPRS Monitor, CE Star, Aprite Backup Tool, WorldCard Mobile
(iii) a pouch
(iv) a USB connectivity
(v) an additional stylus
(vi) a ear piece
(vii) 2GB a Micro SD and adapter
(viii) charger
(ix) bluetooth and charger

A superb TOY to date for me...FOR DADDY'S DAY :)
