"NO COMMENT" is rarely used here.Using it usually means it's always true. The only 'good point' is that it finishes the Q & A faster, leaving the questioner dumbfounded. Saw this many times in US make movie when the reporter asked a legitimate question to the President and most questions has already a desired answer as such when the President says no comment meaning the question is the answer.
Now come to the "I DON'T KNOW" statement. The easiest of all statements but in reality show off the clear and present DENIAL SYNDROME. It is either shows that PM does not read the memorandum presented to his office OR that he slept early without knowing it until told by his secretary that there was a memorandum OR that he himself is fed up with the war against corruption as he is fighting a lone battle OR he is still disturbed with the recent decision made by Session Court judge Akhtar Tahir on a big fish OR Malaysia is doomed to be corrupted forever and that there is no more hope left OR that he has read it, but pretending that he did not. Whatever the answer, the denial syndrome in Malaysia creeps everywhere in every organisation and association.
Here is a Cut and paste the below article from RPK's blog taken from BERNAMA.
(Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said today he does not know who the senior cabinet minister is who has been accused of being corrupt in a memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister's Office.
The Prime Minister said he was informed of the memorandum handed to his office by Ezam Mohd Nor, chairman of the Movement for Democracy and Anti-Corruption (Gerak), and that he would study it.
"I was informed about the memorandum and I will study it," he told reporters after launching an environment awareness campaign.
Asked who was the minister alleged to be corrupt, Abdullah said: "I don't know".
On June 29, Ezam, who is also former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) youth chief, submitted to Abdullah's office a document which Ezam claimed also contained allegations of criminal breach of trust and misappropriation involving the minister.
Copies of two police reports lodged against the minister were also submitted with the 632-page document, according to Ezam.
